About us
Founded in late 2010, the Melbourne Microfinance Initiative is the first and largest microfinance club in Australia. We are entirely student-run, and proudly affiliated with the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne.
Initiatives
Our Country Initiatives are student-run, semester-long volunteer consulting projects to microfinance institutions. Students have the opportunity to work in teams to develop solutions for micro-lenders on a variety of issues ranging from internal controls and impact analysis, to borrower education.

Our Operations team is currently in the process of planning Semester 2 events! Big happenings coming up for the enjoyment and involvement of Melbourne University’s student body… stay tuned!
