The Melbourne Microfinance Initiative (MMI) is a student-run organisation providing consulting services to microfinance institutions globally. Founded in late 2010 at the University of Melbourne, our vision is that we can have a direct impact on communities in need, through a tool known as microfinance.
Our Country Initiatives are student-run, semester-long volunteer consulting projects to microfinance institutions. Students have the opportunity to work in teams to develop solutions for non-governmental organisations to improve or expand their microfinance activities – on a variety of issues ranging from internal controls and impact analysis, to borrower education.
Come and see us in 2014 at the University of Melbourne! More details on exact locations will be posted closer to the dates:
Orientation Lunch - Wednesday 26th February 9.30am-4:00pm, The Spot – Ground level

MMI strives to achieve a significant social impact on students, the University, and the community. As such, you will experience numerous opportunities that appeal to knowledge transfer, fieldwork, research and networking.
