    An article that discusses the recent changes to the hegemon’s role in modern affairs, particularly given the largely nationalist and protectionist rhetoric and policy introduced under the Trump administration. In an era of heightened global connectivity, Wright contends the US must retain an engaged and leading role in global affairs. Such a perspective is interesting to consider as the pandemic continues to unfold.
